  1. Clairvaux consists of two fonts, Clairvaux and Clairvaux Caps.  Clairvaux is an 
  2. enhanced ImageWriter font.  It contains a full character set with all major 
  3. diacriticals, special mathematical symbols, and other useful figures.  Clairvaux is available in ten sizes, from 9- to 48-point.

Clairvaux Caps is a special font designed to allow the use of a large initial letter to demarcate a section or subsection without interfering with normal line spacing.  Clairvaux Caps in 18- or 24-point will work with 12-point Clairvaux; Clairvaux Caps in 14-point will work with 9- or 10-point Clairvaux.  Clairvaux Caps contains only capital letters (less "J," whose descender is cut off below the line).

  7. Both Clairvaux and Clairvaux Caps can be installed using Apple's Font/DA Mover.  Clairvaux's font ID number is high enough to prevent any clashes with Apple's own fonts.

  9. The documents accompanying Clairvaux describe the font and its character set, and offer guidelines for producing more attractive documents.
